Top ten things to do South of the River

Dear Myaree,

We’re stoked to finally be settled in and we’ve taken no time at all to make ourselves at home.

We have been exploring the area and have fallen in love with some of the local hotspots. From river to coast, cold brews to beer brewers, we’ve put together our favourite South of the River activities right around the corner. If you’re hunting for unique things to do South of the River then look no further:

Otherside Brewery

Otherside describes their Brewhouse as having a ‘hint of festival vibes’, and we couldn’t agree more. If you’re longing to stretch out those summer festival feelings, we recommend a Sunday arvo in this little pocket of Myaree to catch up with friends over a few locally crafted beers. They’re just round the corner from Revo Myaree so you’ll be sure to see us there post workout.

Top Dup Donuts.

Here’s the address – (Top Dup Donuts). Enough said.

Portside Boulders

Bouldering and beers. In that order.
If you’re not a fan of the cold and are looking to take the outdoors inside, then look no further than Portside Boulders in O’Connor. Challenge yourself to free climbing, with over 100 different routes that accommodates all climbing abilities. Best of all, you can reward yourself with a beer (or Kombucha) after you’ve conquered the wall.

Ardross Street

There’s nothing like new activewear to get you in the mood for a sweat sesh. Stop into HyperLuxe Activewear to get kitted out in the coolest sports-luxe brands, amping you up to look great and own your workout. After picking up the latest P.E Nation, grab a coffee at Cioccolate Espresso on Ardross, or if you’re after a quick brekkie grab a bircher muesli to go from Cheeky Boy Espresso.

Revo Fitness

After a few local brews and shameless donuts, Revo’s newest club in Myaree is worth a mention. With 24/7 access and an affordable membership ($9.69 per week with no catches) you can have your donut and eat it too. There are trainers onsite ready to help you hit your fitness goals or using the brand new 24/7 Circuit training program HIITFIT Revo is the place to go.

South Beach

We all seem to be loyal to a particular part of the coastline, and we’re happy to say South Beach is a winner in our eyes (ok…maybe equal winner with Scarborough). We’re crossing our fingers for a few more sunny days so we can soak up those iconic WA sunsets and take one last dip in the ocean if we’re brave enough. Also worth noting, South Beach has a designated doggo beach to take your furry friend for a dip.

Utopia

If you’re looking for something refreshing after a workout, or want to mix up your usual coffee routine, then look no further than Myaree royalty, Utopia. These guys are the OG of bubble tea in Perth and we’re stoked to be right around the corner. And Utopia don’t mess around, offering over 107 different flavours with endless variations so you can get creative with your choice and try the weird and wonderful.

Grouch and Co.

If you’re a serious coffee lover, look no further than Grouch and Co. This Myaree local micro-roaster if a serious vibe; you’ll be greeted by a barista serving up the highest quality brews while you’re invited to enjoy their minimal warehouse interiors. For those looking to fuel up on the go, pop in with your Revo KeepCup to get a dollar off your Grouch coffee.

Lawn Bowls

Last but not least, how could we not mention lawn bowls. The average age at the local Melville Bowling Club has seemed to have dropped since being claimed by the younger gen and is drawing a huge crowd. Whether you have a competitive spirit, or just love a cheap beer, lawn bowls is the perfect activity for all your mates.

If you’re a Myaree local and have a few more insider suggestions we’d love to hear them! Pop on in to Revo Myaree for chat. You know where to find us.
